Maria Franco-Villoria 13-06-2024

On June 13th 2024 we organized our midterm META2 workshop. The event was held in Rimini Campus (University of Bologna). The day started with an introduction to the project given by Alex Laini, our PI. We had the pleasure to host two invited speakers, Luisa Ferrari (a PhD student at the University of Bologna at the time who then joined our META2 team) and Marco A. Rodriguez (professor at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Canada). Luisa presented a talk on “variance partitioning for community ecology models, while Marco’s talk was on “Modelling the impact of climate change on the spatial distribution of freshwater fishes in Québec, Canada: predictions for the next 80 years”. After a nice lunch we had plenty of time to discuss and share lots of ideas on a roundtable.
