I am interested in studying the response of insect communities to natural and anthorpogenic stressors. My recent research activities focus on DNA metabarcoding as a tool to improve the taxonomic resolution at which insects are identified and to study intraspecific variation at the community level.

My research interests include spatio-temporal statistics, functional data analysis and quantile regression (with a focus on environmental applications) and variance partitioning models in a Bayesian hierarchical framework.
My research activity, while covering a variety of organisms of agricultural and forestry interest, has been predominantly focused on issues related to ecology, morphology, systematics and evolution of dung beetles (Coleoptera Scarabaeoidea).

My research interests include Bayesian hierarchical modelling (with applications in ecology and environmental epidemiology), Bayesian structured additive regression models (with a focus on priors for variance parameters) and spatial statistics (with a focus on penalized spline regression for spatial data).

Research fellow with a degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Turin. Interested in wildlife ecology and how the dynamics between wildlife and the environment evolve due to climate change. Additionally, I have an interest towards data analysis, finding it rewarding to discover patterns/trends starting from raw data.
